Hiroshi Hamanishi is a Los Angeles based tap dancer, choreographer, and educator. Hiroshi has toured nationally and internationally with the production of Caution: Men at Work, TAP. He has had the pleasure of dancing with Alfred Desio, Chance Taylor, Bob Carroll, Rhapsody in Taps, Jazz Tap Ensemble, the James Brown Band, Arthur Duncan and Gregory Hines. Winner of The Extreme Gong Show, North American Tap Dance Festival Choreography Award, and Lester Horton Award. He has been invited from Tap Overload, St.Louis Tap Festival, Los Angeles Tap Festival, American College Dance Festival, KCET and Idyllwild Arts. An active teacher, Hiroshi is a professor of tap dance and have taught at Santa Monica College, Loyola Marymount University, California State University Los Angeles, currently on faculty at El Camino College and The Colburn School. Hiroshi is now thrilled to join the immaculate Los Angeles Ballet Academy family.
